CAN'T LOOK AT THIS AND NOT WRITE A FICLET SO HERE IS A FICLET:
Title: Doesn't Count
Fandom: JE - Kanjani∞
Pairing/characters: Subaru/Yasu
Rating: PG
Word Count: 350~
Disclaimer: Total fiction.
Summary: Yasu's logic brings them to the top of a mountain with a borrowed hotel blanket.
It's kind of a jerkish thing to say after all Yasu's done to make this happen, but Subaru feels it needs saying, so he blurts, "This doesn't really count, you know."
Yasu says, "I know," without much concern. He reclines the driver's seat, tugs the thick blanket he borrowed from his hotel room around himself, and offers the other half to Subaru over the console between them.
An hour ago, Yasu broke into Subaru's hotel room and talked him into taking a trip all the fucking way up into the mountains to see the First Sunrise, even though it's January sixth and that's...not when the First Sunrise happens. However, according to Yasu, they haven't seen the "first" sunrise of the year until they actually watch a sunrise, which sounded logical enough to Subaru while Yasu was massaging his crotch. So now he’s alone with Yasu in the mountains at dawn overlooking the ocean.
He figures he might as well benefit as much as possible from his circumstances, so he unbuckles his seat belt, shoves out of his seat, and sprawls bonelessly against Yasu's side. Laughing, Yasu pulls the blanket tight around them both. It’s not a wonderful position — Subaru's hip is rammed against the corner of the console and his shoulder is at a painful angle in Yasu's armpit, but then there are the positives of Yasu's cheek rubbing against his hair and the feel of Yasu's stomach rising and falling under his hand, so, eh, fuck it. Good enough.
Subaru thumbs Yasu's navel piercing through his sweater, and as the sun rises, Yasu talks about the last time he saw the sun rise with someone else. Subaru's bored within ten seconds and is prepared to cut him off and change the subject when Yasu says, "Do you remember?"
He looks up at Yasu to find him already grinning, perfectly aware of what he did.
Subaru glares at him and kisses him, figuring the mixed signal is punishment enough.
