New Year's Resolution

I was talking to a coworker recently and, out of nowhere, he told me, "You have really cool eyes. I never noticed that they're different colors before." Then he laughed and said, "Sorry, that was really random and creepy."

But it wasn't! Well, it was random, considering we'd been talking about a Muppet Babies version of Inception up 'til then. But it definitely wasn't creepy. It was the nicest thing anyone had said to me all day.

So I've decided that my New Year's Resolution is to give people the random compliments that occur to me. Because who knows when something as common as, "You have a beautiful smile," could make someone's whole day turn around?
