Yoko takes two flutes of champagne from the bar up to Ohkura's hotel room and knocks with the blunt, polished toe of his shoe. Ohkura opens the door looking sleepy and aggravated, and Yoko splutters into a giggle fit. Ohkura cringes, sighs and pulls the door open wide enough for Yoko to weave inside.
"Don't tell anyone," Yoko whispers, pressing the stem of one flute into Ohkura's hand, "I got these for you."
As he starts to hand Ohkura the other flute, Ohkura says, "Wait. Isn't that one for you?"
Yoko snorts, grinning broadly. "What do I need it for?" He chuckles. "My head's as bubbly as it's going to get tonight, Tacchon. Now, bottoms up." He taps the flared bottom of Ohkura's flute as Ohkura carefully sips, tilting a healthy dose down Ohkura's throat.
An hour later, Ohkura is sprawled on the couch with his feet in Yoko's lap. He holds both flutes in his arms, cradled like glassware teddy bears. Yoko pokes Ohkura's largest toe and says, "You love me, don't you, Tacchon?"
Ohkura glares at him through one narrowed eye. "Shh."
Yoko leans far over to kiss Ohkura's knee. "You LOVE me," he says again, adding a kiss to Ohkura's calf, "don't you, Tacchon?"
Ohkura shakes his leg out of Yoko's grasp. He chews on the lip of a flute for several minutes before hiccuping. "Sort of," he mumbles.
Yoko cackles. Ohkura rubs his forehead.
After a few minutes, Ohkura asks, "I didn't say 'yes' out loud, did I?"
Yoko says, "Sort of," and grins.
