I've loved every fic I've read by thalialunacy, so it really shouldn't surprise me that she had me giggling for a solid minute over a title.

When I recovered, I started reading. And then I promptly lost it again when I finished reading this:

“YOU CANNOT JUST BREAK DOWN THE DOOR AS IF THE SHIP IS EXPLODING, CAPTAIN.”

“WHY NOT?”

“SHE IS A DIPLOMAT OF HIGH IMPORT. AND FURTHERMORE, YOU ARE A GROWN MAN AND, need I remind you, a starsh—“

“BUT SHE’S IN THERE AND SHE’S GOT HIM IN HER LITTLE CLUTCHES AND—“

“What the Ambassador does on her own time is no concern of yours, Jim.”

“IT IS IF SHE DOES IT WITH HIM.”

Silence descends upon the group.

And Jim Kirk realizes what he’s just said.
