Yuletide 2010: A Reading List

Thanks to random chance (I think?) I received five fics this year! Three were from Yuletide itself and two were from Yuletide Madness, and they're all magnificent! Between the five of them, I got every request I asked for filled! I'm a little starry-eyed from the glee, to be honest.
First I got Blanket at the Bottom of the Bottle [Dead Like Me] George/Mason, which is this beautiful take on their relationship and how their similar deaths can isolate them from the other reapers. Their dialogue is spot-on and I've always loved canon!George when she's drunk, so to see it in fic was especially fulfilling. *g*
And then there's Here's the Smell of Blood Still [The Hunger Games] Haymitch, which oh god destroyed me because when I asked for Haymitch I knew I was setting myself up for heartbreak and this totally did break my heart and I couldn't be more pleased. All the details of Haymitch's past tributes and his life now and just ngk, if you've read The Hunger Games and have any interest in Haymitch, I recommend this highly.
And thirdly, I got Beauty Like a Tightened Bow [The Hunger Games] Cinna, which ngk Cinna! Cinna's my favorite character from the books, so I was really, really hoping to get something about him and I did so whoo! And this is such an excellent take on his life. Also highly recommended.
And then there's the two from Yuletide Madness. The first was Going Dutch [Dead Like Me] George/Mason, which is adorable beyond words and showcases exactly how awesome the reaper dynamic is and why I will always love Mason and George because seriously this is them, exactly them and ngk, I need to reread it again.
AND THEN.
This next one popped into my inbox and I went, ...You are kidding me with this because seriously you guys. I mentioned the idea offhand and OF COURSE I NEVER EXPECTED SOMEONE TO ACTUALLY WRITE IT.
AND
JUST OKAY AND JUST THE LAST OKAY SO THIS IS OH MY GOD
OKAY
I GOT THIS:
Saturn [Hana Yori Dango] Tsukushi/Tsukasa
DO YOU GUYS KNOW WHAT THAT IS.
IT IS DOMYOUJI AND TSUKUSHI FIGHTING SPACE ALIENS.
SOMEONE IN THIS WORLD IS THE BEST PERSON EVER IN THE WORLD AND WHEN I FIND OUT WHO THAT SOMEONE IS I WILL GO SUPERSPARKLENOVA AND PROBABLY NEVER STOP BECAUSE SOMEONE WROTE ME TSUKUSHI AND DOMYOUJI FIGHTING SPACE ALIENS AND I NEED THIS FRAMED AND ON MY WALL AS A TRIBUTE TO HOW AWESOME LIFE IS NOW THAT THIS IS IN THE WORLD.
GYAH.
AND DO YOU KNOW WHY IT'S CALLED SATURN? IT IS THE MOST BRILLIANT AND ADORABLE REASON EVER.
ALSO I THINK I KNOW WHO WROTE THIS. MAYBE.
WHOEVER YOU ARE, THANK YOU SO, SO MUCH.
It was incredible to get so many beautifully-executed fics this year. Thank you, you excellent anonymous writers. Every one means a lot to me, and I'm grateful for the work you put into them. Thank you so much!
